New Policy

Responsibility of each team to make sure all their players see this!

There has been a trend this year that we are going to nip in the bud. For some reason, this year there has been numerous games that have had fights during the match. In some cases players have jumped into the situation and made things much worse than they should have been.

This new policy goes into affect immediately and will be in effect for the remainder of the year and every year going forward.

If a player commits any of the following violations they will be red carded and suspended for life from the Bozeman Adult Soccer League:

Is involved in a fight during a match.
Joins a fight in progress.
Commits an act of violent conduct towards another player.

The referee will not make the decision to suspend a player. The President of the league will make the decision on the suspension. The referee will red card the player and send the player off the field. The President will meet with the referee and get the details on all red cards. A decision will then be made, and the player will be contacted by telephone of the consequences of their actions.

We will not allow a few adults with bad tempers ruin the soccer league for the rest of the players. Yes this is a competitive soccer league, but that does not mean you will be allowed to act like a bunch of thugs. This is still a fun league for everyone, we want to keep it that way.

If you are suspended for life, you will not be given any sort of refund for the season in progress. If for some reason the suspended person shows up at the field and acts in an unruly manner, additional steps will be taken. The player will be suspended from playing adult soccer nationally.

We are sorry that we have to take this action, but the actions of a few have left us with no other choice at this time. If this does not alleviate the fighting and violent conduct, there will come a point that the recreational league will cease to exist.
